The AGSM, in collaboration with Assiniboine Community College, is thrilled to announce the return of the WestmAnimation mini-festival of animation in Southwestern Manitoba. The festival has a current, ongoing, open call for anyone with any connection to the region to submit animations from 1 to 15 minutes long and that have been created within the last five years. The deadline for submissions is September 20, 2023. The main event will be the screening of submitted animations, held at ACC on October 11th and then at AGSM on October 12th from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Both days will feature different submissions as well as curated National Film Board animations. From October 14th to the 20th, the animations will be available on AGSM’s digital platforms and in the Gallery for people to watch and vote for. The planning committee will judge the submissions and the winners will be announced on October 27th. Follow our social media to find the winner!
