Skip to content- There is no fee to participate in the exhibition. Members may submit up to three works in any media (see size restrictions below). We love two- and three-dimensional works, but if you are interested in doing something unconventional (e.g. sound, video, installation), we’re all ears!
- Artists must be a current member of the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba as of November 15, 2025.
- Artists must complete and return the Artwork Submissions Form by November 20, 2025. A digital form is available through the exhibition page at agsm.ca.
- Art must be delivered to the AGSM on November 20-21 or November 25-28, 2025 during gallery hours.
- All artworks exhibited must be original and recent works by the artist. If the medium is inherently reproducible (eg, linocut, digital print) then a first run is requested but not required. Prints of original paintings or drawings will not be accepted.
- No artworks that have been previously exhibited at the AGSM will be accepted.
- All artworks must be ready for display. All two-dimensional artworks must have secure and stable hanging hardware, and all three-dimensional artworks properly mounted. The AGSM is not responsible for any damage to artworks caused by unstable or poorly-installed display mechanisms. Because the Members’ show is installed over a very short time period, the AGSM cannot guarantee that artists whose artworks have been deemed uninstallable will be contacted before the exhibition opens.
- * Artists submitting multimedia work must contact the AGSM curator by November 14, 2025 to verify display requirements at [email protected] or 204.727.1036 #105. Video, sound, computational, or other new media art, particularly works requiring a power source, will not be accepted without this consultation.
- Artists may submit up to three artworks : For two-dimensional works, the total wall space required may not exceed 5 feet; Three-dimensional artworks must have a footprint of 2 x 2 feet or less.
- Artists may choose to sell their work or not. If the work is for sale, the price will be set by the artist, and will be within the range of $50.00 to $500.00.
- The AGSM will retain 25% of all sales, which will be used to support the Members Exhibition, as well as the AGSM’s ongoing exhibition, education, and event programming.
- The AGSM will conduct all transactions and remunerate artists by cheque following the exhibition.
- Members are responsible for timely delivery and pick-up of artworks.
- The AGSM will make its best efforts to include all submissions that follow this criteria, but reserves the right to decline any artworks for inclusion. The AGSM does not tolerate abuse or discrimination of any kind.
