Local Artists

March 29, 2021 to April 29, 2021
Community Gallery

'i {heart} Brandon' results from an open call from the AGSM and Brandon Tourism. It is a collection by our community that shows, through art, what we love about Brandon. The exhibition is in our Community Gallery, and four individuals have received $500 prizes in the categories of Youth, Teen, Adult, and Audience Choice.

The Jurors

Four active community members served as judges for three categories, and the entire Westman community selected the audience winner by ballot at the Gallery.

Megumi Masaki

A multidisciplinary artist, Megumi Masaki shares her passion for music with Brandon University students and the community through compelling projects. Her empathic personality and appreciation of beauty and nature are inspirational to us all!

Karen Chrest

An authentic communicator and bon-vivant, Karen brings spirit and camaraderie to all of her relationships. She is a lover of the arts, a committed member of the Westman community, and is always willing to share wonderful stories with those around her!

James and Angela Chambers

Owners of local bakery and eatery 'Chez Angela', James and Angela Chambers approach their culinary craft as skilful artisans. Like the exhibitions at the AGSM, they create aesthetic experiences, proving the undeniable strength of the relationship between art and food.
