DESCRIPTION:Sessions for Visual Artists at Manitoba Showcase 2026 \nManitoba Showcase is coming to Brandon this September\, with a dedicated series of sessions for visual artists at the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba. \nThe program brings artists and arts professionals together for practical conversations about printmaking\, working across mediums\, artist collectives\, galleries\, and funding opportunities. \nWhether you are looking to build connections\, learn more about the arts sector\, or explore new possibilities for your practice\, these sessions offer a chance to learn alongside artists from across Manitoba. \nProgram Schedule: \n\nFriday\, September 18\, 11:00 a.m.\nCANCELLED: Prints and Possibilities: Connecting with Martha Street Studio \nFriday\, September 18\, 1:40 p.m.\nFrom Photo to Fibre\, Textile and Fibre Artists of Manitoba (TFAM) Workshop \nSaturday\, September 19\, 12:30 p.m.\nWorking in Collectives: Panel Discussion with Linda Tame and Doug Derksen \nSaturday\, September 19\, 2:30 p.m.\nHow to Get into Galleries with Artists Opeyemi Olukotun and Charles Romero Venzon \nSaturday\, September 19\, 4:10 p.m.\nManitoba Arts Council Artists in Schools Grants \n\nEach session has a capacity of 100 participants\, and registration is required. \nRegistration is free for Manitoba Arts Network members\, AGSM members\, representatives of MAN member organizations\, and members of organizations that belong to MAN. \nParticipants are also invited to attend the Manitoba Showcase Opening Reception on Thursday\, September 17\, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium. \nREGISTER HERE
