Get ready to squish, pound, roll, and create in this fun-filled week of clay exploration! In The Summer Mud Room, students will discover the endless creative possibilities of working with clay while bringing their imaginations to life through hands-on projects and playful experimentation.
Participants will learn how to manipulate this soft, versatile material using proper hand-building techniques to create pots, mugs, sculptures, creatures, and other imaginative clay works. From poking and shaping to rolling and sculpting, students will explore the exciting process of turning “mud” into unique works of art in the clay studio.
This class encourages creativity, experimentation, and self-expression while teaching foundational ceramic techniques in a supportive and energetic environment. At the end of the course, student creations will be bisque fired so they can be taken home and painted and displayed.
