Join artist Anna Binta Diallo and AGSM Artistic Director Lucie Lederhendler for a live tour of BLACK PRAIRIES, featuring Diallo’s series of 8 digital collages, “Frontiers.” “Frontiers” is an immersive installation that delves into the personal and collective narratives of migration, diaspora, and heritage, centering on the unique experience of being Black in the Canadian Prairies. Inspired by Diallo’s father’s claim of being the first Senegalese man in Winnipeg during the 1980s, this exploration begins with an autobiographical standpoint and expands to encompass broader themes of migration and identity.
