Ready to take your wheel-throwing skills to the next level? This course is designed for students with previous throwing experience who are eager to create larger ceramic forms on the wheel. If you are comfortable centering clay and pulling cylinders but want to go bigger, this technical and hands-on class will help make it happen.
Through demonstrations, guided instruction, and plenty of studio practice, participants will learn techniques for successfully throwing larger vessels and forms. Students will explore methods for managing larger amounts of clay, improving stability and control, and developing the confidence needed to scale up their work.
This course is ideal for potters looking to expand their skills and push the boundaries of wheel-thrown ceramics. Clay will be provided.
