CELEBRATE WITH GLOWING LANTERNS AND ABSTRACT DESIGNS (6-9YRS) WITH RONALYN EWERT

Set your imagination free through painting, and build a colourful glowing lantern just in time to celebrate Culture Days. Students will create colourful unique mixed media projects and design symbols with a personal touch.
SAT: 1-4PM, SEPT 21
Artwork will be displayed for the following Saturday (Sept 28) for Culture Days!

GO FISH! FEARLESS CREATING! (6-9 YRS) WITH RONALYN EWERT

Create colourful compositions and ignite your creativity! Learn about line, ink, painting, drawing from life, and mixed media collage. Get creative in a relaxed and stimulating studio environment featuring fish tanks, and try projects inspired by nature to create colourful, abstract works of art.

MYNE-CRAFT SELFIES, CARTOONING, AND ANIME (6-9 YRS) WITH CARLY MORRISSEAU
Inspired by anime and your favourite games, you'll draw, collage, and paint to create pixelated portraits and puppets, and develop character creation for cartoons.

HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA (6-9) WITH RONALYN EWERT

As a class you'll celebrate Halloween as you prepare for a spooky Halloween Party complete with a magnificent Art Show featuring a mysterious scavenger hunt with clues to solve and prizes to win! Explore your monsteriffic imagination with masks, autumn paintings, creative games, ghoulish art activities and more. Treats and music will add to the fun atmosphere of these creative and imaginative classes!

BE AN ART STAR! WITH JESSIE JANNUSKA AND CARLY MORRISEAU (6-9)

Find inspiration in the local art scene and take part in this fun class linked with the new Star Blanket mural located in downtown Brandon! Students will work with Jessie Jannuska, one of the mural artists, and learn about the significance of the Star Blanket, exploring Indigenous art and culture. Discover how large scale murals and public works of art are created, and learn how to draw and paint colourful, geometric designs on a small and large scale.

FAMILY SATURDAY: DREAMCATCHERS (FAMILIES/FRIENDS/ALL AGES) WITH JESSIE JANNUSKA AND CARLY MORRISSEAU

A class for youth, parents/caregivers or grandparents to take with their child or grandchild; this workshop is open to all ages of children, teens, and adults. Students ages 10 and under must sign up with an adult(s). Jessie will incorporate traditional teachings and explain the history of dreamcatchers. Work with a hoop, leather, sinew, beads, and feathers; learn weaving skills. Join us for an afternoon of sharing creativity, learning, ancestral knowledge and connecting with our earth.

NOTE: All 6-9yr olds signing up for all 8 saturdays must bring an adult with them to the last Art Saturday, if you would like to bring an additional adult or child, it will be an extra $25/person.
