INTRODUCTION TO LINOCUT AND IMAGE MAKING

This 4-week course will explore the process of developing an image for the lino cutting process. Students will learn the basics of composing an image to suit the linocut process, after which they will cut the lino in order to create their own unique prints. Safe cutting techniques, proper inking methods, along with edition labeling, proper press set-up and use will be shown.
