This lecture-based class will give participants of the stages involved in director-driven independent filmmaking in Canada. Learn about the different planning pathways to get your film made; possible funding sources; the basic logistical processes used to finish a film; marketing and distribution considerations; and the steps you can take to get your film onto the big screen, including developing a film festival strategy.
